The Town of Roseland, Indiana, was incorporated in 1916. Located in the north-central part of the state, it sits at the base of Indiana Toll Road Exit 77, one mile north of South Bend and adjacent to both the University of Notre Dame and St. Mary’s College. The town is approximately 4 blocks wide and 1 mile long, with State Road 933, also known as Dixie Highway, running north-south through its center. Approximately 60 small businesses and franchise restaurants line the 933 Corridor, including 5 hotels, while residents enjoy tree-lined streets to the east and west. The population at the 2010 Census was 630; with the 2013 addition of student housing at the University Edge Apartment complex the population is now approximately 1100. The Roseland Park Board oversees the 10-acre recreational Roseland Park, the mile-long bike & pedestrian LaSalle Big Bluestem Trail, and the serene Veteran’s Memorial Park.
